The prestigious South African Open Dance Championships™ (SAODC™) is staged annually by the South African Dance Foundation and is the apex Official Title Championship on the South African Calendar. SAODC™ is a fully inclusive Dancesport Championship™, Open to the ALL Dance Associations, allowing all dancers, regardless of Affiliation, to participate on the basis of their Freedom of Association and Freedom of Expression.
This is the Official selection for Professionals to represent South Africa at the World Dance Council (WDC) Championships. Professionals are encouraged to register with the South African Dance Foundation to be eligible for this. Registered Amateur Championship dancers are eligible for South African Colours and can represent South Africa at the WDC AL World Championships.
Kindy note the Championship is COVID-19 compliant and all regulations as prescribed by the latest SA Government Gazette aligned to the World Health Organisation need to be complied with.
